About Accounting Technician Certificate(ATC)

This course is examined by KASNEB and is meant to prepare students who wish to obtain a qualification as specialized middle level accountant commonly known as Accounting Technicians.
ATC is divided into two levels ATC I and ATC II. Each level takes 6 months and a student cannot combine both levels at the same time.
Those who successfully complete the course can pursue CPA.

Universities Offering Accounting Technician Certificate(ATC)

The program is relevant for students
who wish to take accounting basics.
After taking this course,students
are able to:
(a)Make audits and tax computations
(b)Carry out normal office operations
(c)Maintaining accounting records

Entry requirements
- A minimum of a D+ in KCSE or
a division III of the Cambridge School Certificate; East African Certificate of Education; Kenya Certificate of Education or
a pass in either Stage I or stage II of ACNC examination.
