Formation of a v shaped valley.
As water moves down the slope over the earth's surface it cuts a depression or channel through the processes of hydraulic action, abrasion and erosion. The channel starts as a gulley and with time the continued on the channel widens it into a full river valley. This is as a result of vertical erosion on the earth's surface.
