Faith
Till is an unsorted, heterogeneous mixture of rocks, clays and sands transported and deposited by ice sheets on melting.

Lodgement till. This is deposited beneath active ice, that is, as the ice moves. It is plastered onto subglacial surface by the pressure of ice.
Ablation till. This is deposited when the ice melts away.

Till containing large quantities of boulders may lead to the formation of depressions. These depressions form when detached ice blocks are enclosed within the till as the ice sheet retreats. When the ice blocks later melt, they leave depressions known as kettle depression and kettle holes if they are small
