(i) Training of sports experts to postgraduate levels at Kenyatta University.

(ii) Promotion of literature department by encouraging local writers to record pre-colonial and post-colonial African literature like Francis Imbuga and Gugi wa Thiong'o.

(iii) Encouragement of traditional sports and other cultural activities among communities like bull fighting.

(iv) Establishment of The French Cultural Centre,Kenya National Theare,KBC radio and TV stations.

(v) Building of Nyayo National Stadium and Moi International Sports Centre to promote sports.

(vi) Development in sports and athletics by recognising and continuously funding the participants like Catherine Ndereba,the first woman to win marathon for four times consecutively.

(vii) Integration and enhancement of cultural values and practices in the Ministry of Education under the national goals of education.

(viii) Establishment of Ministry of Gender, Culture and Sports to promote culture.

(ix) Participation in soccer,motor sports,rugby,volleyball,hockey,cricket and basketball.

(x) In 1988,Kenya won the first African gold medal in boxing at Seoul Olympics,South Korea.
