A farmer has twice as many goats as cows and half as many pigs as cows. If he has 45 pigs in his farm, how many animals does he keep altogether?

Answers

John
Let the number of cows be x.

Cows is x,

Goats is 2x

Pigs = $\frac{1}{2}x$

$\frac{1}{2}x$ = 45

x = 90

Cows = 900,

pigs = 180

Altogether he had:

90 + 180 + 45 = 315 animals
