Explain why bromine is a liquid at room temperature while chlorine is a gas

Explain why bromine is a liquid at room temperature while chlorine is a gas

Answers

DORCAS
This is because Bromine has stronger inter-molecular forces due to a bigger atomic radius than chlorine. Therefore Bromine is a liquid at room temperature because it requires more energy to break the forces than chlorine which has a lower melting and boiling points since less energy is required to break the forces.
