1. Content – poorly researched matter.
2. Speech – talking too rapidly, lack of speech clarity, over accentuation and wrong
pronunciation.
3. Voice – high pitch, talking down at the audience, speaking in a mumbling/muffed tone,
lack of voice modulation, wrong intonation/inflection.
4. Face – unsmiling face, poor or no eye contact.
5. Gestures – fidgeting behaviour, hands in the pocket, arms crossed across the chest, tilting
body weight.
6. Language – poor grammar, very long sentences, using slang/colloquial expressions.
7. Style – lack of confidence, inappropriate dressing, beating about the bush, no proper
introduction, body and conclusion of the speech, repetitiveness and talking much without
actually saying anything!
