Explain the two types of dies.

Solid Die: It is one which has fixed dimension and cannot be adjusted for smaller or large
diameter. It is used for recutting damaged threads and may be driven by suitable wrench.

Adjustable Die: It can be set to cut larger and smaller diameters. It has a split through one side
and a slight adjustment is possible with the help of set screw.
