i)Variables are measurable characteristics that assume different values among subjects.
ii)Independent variable: It is a variable that a researcher manipulates in order to determine its effect or influence on another variable.
iii)Dependent variables: It attempts to indicate the total influence arising from the effects of the independent variable. A dependent variable therefore varies as a function of the independent variable.
iv)Parameter: It is a characteristic that is measurable and can assume different values in the population.
v)Data: All information a researcher gathers for his/her study, this could either be secondary or primary data.
