He came up with individual psychology and was not interested In average person. He came up with 3 types of traits that will enable us know the Traits of a person.
1. Cardinal trait-is a dominant trait and therefore colors every Aspect of a person's behavior
2. The central trait- are a handful of characteristics tendencies that Be used to describe a person i.e. an individual can be described As being generous, fun to be with. According to Allport we need to only know 5-10 central traits And know that person fairly well.
3. Secondary trait-are traits that we display from time to time and Appear in a small trend of situation
