i)The hidden curriculum moulds the person and self-esteem.
ii)It adds pleasant memories to the school experience.
iii)It also fosters intellectual curiosity and emotional growth. It provides opportunity for discovering new interests and developing new abilities. By extension, it creates a safe environment for exploring questions such as who am i?
iv)It also discourages critical thinking at worst. It sends negative messages regarding intellectual pursuits such as labelling of learners.
v)It can also encourage exclusion and thus encourage the growth of gangs and violence.
vi)The buildings and other structures in the school may erect barriers to learning and passes implicit messages to those learning in those structures.
