The commonly used method is the Situational Crime Prevention.
This is a method used by community policing strategy which aims at reducing crime through involvement of everyday activities. It involves the establishment of activities which aims at reducing crime and which are likely to attract more people in the community.
According to Trojonowicz, (2000)h he looks at Situational Crime Prevention (SCP) as a primary action to prevent crime, and should always pay more attention at stopping crime problems when they occur in the community. These plans are used to lessen opportunities for criminals to commit crime and keep them busy doing the activities and they find less time to be involved in criminal activities.
These activities may include:
1. Planting trees
2. Capacity Building Training
3. Cleaning towns
4. Youth Tournaments e.t.c
