i) – rainfall

ii) - A rain gauge is erected outside an open ground way from tree and building . it is used to measure amount of rainfall

-When it rains , water collects into the collecting jar through the funnel.

-At the time of taking measurement the funnel is removed from barrel.

-The jar with rainwater is removed .The water is poured into the measuring cylinder .

-A reading is taken and recorded.
