1. Buy good quality bags with large space.Buy those with several hidden pockets.These provide for extra space.

2. Take only what you need.If possible carry multipurpose clothes to avoid carrying different clothes for varied purposes.

3. Save time for sleep.Get enough rest for renewed strength to carry you through the journey.

4. Eat well before getting started.Eating in a moving means of transport may cause nausea and sickness.If you must eat let it be yogurt, it prevents vomiting.

5. Carry essential documents in an easy to access bag compartment.This is to avoid frantic unpacking in a bid to retrieve documents.

6. Carry water.This is very essential for reasons of thirst and any emergencies.

7.Wear comfortable shoes.To avoid swollen feet at the end of the journey.
