Labour day is a workers day normally celebrated on 1st may each year globally. In Kenya labour day is just but like any other day where politics carries the day. Labour day should be a workers day not political rallies, its a day where by the plight of the workers are addressed but instead its the other way round. All persons hired in Kenya by different institutions including individuals should be the beneficiaries of this day as their challenges as discussed below should be addressed:

SALARY INCREMENT- all workers salaries should be increased since the economy is not permitting the situation, every thing is going higher in terms of price/value.

WORKERS HEALTH AND SAFETY- Every employer should ensure that the welfare of each and every worker is given a priority.

WORKERS RIGHTS- The right of every worker should not be violated in any way, since the constitution covers every Kenyan citizen. This day is meant to ease the burden of each and every worker by ensuring that the worker is given all the necessary attention and treated with respect because they are every thing to every country in terms of development.
