NOTICE TO THE REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING SECTORS

Countrywide Training of Refrigeration Technicians on safe use of Hydrocarbons (HCs) Refrigerants.

The refrigeration and air conditioning companies around the country that are using or planning to use
hydrocarbons refrigerants as alternative to Ozone Depleting Refrigerants such as R12, are reminded that
hydrocarbons are highly inflammable.
The Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources in collaboration with and support from GIZ Proklima of the Germany Government will conduct a three days training course for refrigeration and air conditioning
technicians on safe use of Hydrocarbons Refrigerants. The training course will be held at Bananaleaf Hotel, Nyeri from 28th to 30th August, 2012 (0800-17.00 hrs).

- Recovery, Recycle and Reclaim - Safe Use of Hydrocarbons Refrigerants
- Refrigerants Overview - Lorkring Technology and Flare connections
- Tools - To Hydrocarbons conversion from R12/R134a/R22
- Instruments - Practical Brazing
- Equipment - Joint Pressure Testing
- Good practices
