UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBICOLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND EXTERNAL STUDIES DEPARTMENT OF DISTANCE STUDIES
Applications are invited for December, 2012 intake for the following courses offered in the Department of distance studies, School of Continuing and Distance Education, Kikuyu Campus.
1. MASTERS IN DISTANCE EDUCATION
Requirements
• Holders of any Bachelors degree of at least Lower second Class
Honours from University recognized by senate.
• Pass degree with a postgraduate diploma or equivalent qualification
recognized by senate.
• Pass degree with five years experience in distance learning institution.
2. DIPLOMA IN ADULT EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Entry Requirements
• KCSE grade C or its equivalent qualification or
• KCE Division II and above or its equivalent or
• KCSE grade C- with a professional certificate recognised by
University of Nairobi senate or
• An adult practitioner with Division IV and a certificate in Adult
education and community development from the University of Nairobi
3. DIPLOMA IN YOUTH IN DEVELOPMENT WORK
Entry Requirements
• KCSE grade C or equivalent
• KCE or EACE Div III or equivalent qualifications or
• KCSE mean grade C- with a professional certificate recognized by
senate
4. CERTIFICATE IN ADULT EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Entry Requirements
• KCSE mean grade C- or its equivalent
• KCE Division Ill and above or its equivalent
• Division IV with 2 years work experience in youth related activities
5. CERTIFICATE IN YOUTH IN DEVELOPMENT WORK
Requirements
• KCSE mean grade C- or its equivalent
• KCE Division Ill and above or its equivalent
• Division IV with 2 years work experience in youth related activities
