During the past, there had been no such a time when a Kenyan government had come up with a project of a bigger magnitude than the Jubilee government's laptop project for pupils joining class one set to kick off from next year. For the common citizen with a craving for money it would seem as a wastage of money and resources which would rather have been used to finance other things like paying huge salaries that our teachers are demanding for. What they fail to notice are the many benefits disguised in the whole project which are very easy to be noticed by any common critical thinker.

The whole issue to do with the laptop project has raised a lot of speculation in most Kenyan minds and one wonders therefore whether it is a viable project. But a closer look at this issue will leave no doubt in your mind that this was a well thought out idea by The Jubilee administration. You would ask why not give the laptops to form one students or freshers n universities? But before I answer you first ask yourself this question; do you start building a house from the top or from below? It is from below, yes? Which other better foundation would it be other than class one?

Leave alone that it is the class ones receiving the laptops and focus on the many benefits coming hand in hand with this project;rural electrification, creation of job opportunities, digitization of education system and equipment of technological knowledge to the young ones for use in realization of vision 2030 just to name but a few.

Sometimes you wonder what is behind the innovative minds in the developed countries like The US which is lacking in Kenya? The reason is rather simple, Americans are exposed to technology from when they are

young and if we do the same in Kenya,i don't see the reason why we can't produce the likes of Steve Jobs in Kenya.

Although there are few challenges like students learning under trees and rocks, which the Jubilee administration is addressing, the project is viable and profitable in the long run.
Those against this project get yourself out of the status quo and support us having in mind that this is but a long term investment project. If you live to witness vision 2030 then you will come into terms with me.
