NETBALL
Facility
• NETBALL is a non contact game
• The players are not allowed to come in contact with one another.
• It is played by two teams of seven players.
• Each team tries to score as many goal as possible before the end of the game.
• The game is played by both boys and girl
• The netball court is rectangular in shape.
• It is divided into 3 thirds with two goal thirds on each side and a centre third

Equipment
1. The goal post are 2.47 metres and placed at the midpoint of each goal line.
• The back of the goal post is usually outside the goal line.
• The ring attaching the net to the goal post has a rod which is 150mm in length.
• The net is open on both ends.
• Both the ring and the net are part of the goal post
2. The netball ball is spherical in shape. The size of the ball for an 11 year old is 5.

Positioning of the players in netball
1. Netball is played by 14 players each team has 7 players at the start of the game.
2. The 7 players have specific positions on court
3. Netball players must wear bib clearly showing their playing position on court
4. The positions are identified by the following initials
