Entry requirements:
a) Candidates with a minimum qualification of a first degree in human medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing and veterinary medicine from the University of Nairobi or any other institution recognised by the Senate of the University of Nairobi.
b)Candidates with a minimum of an upper second class degree from the University of Nairobi ( or any other institution recognised by the Senate of the University of Nairobi) in Humanities and Social Sciences.
c)Candidates with a minimum of a lower second class degree from the University of Nairobi (or any other institution recognised by the Senate of the University of Nairobi) in Humanities and Social Sciences; provided they have acquired relevant work experience of a minimum of 2 years service in government, non-governmental organisations (NGO) or the private sector.
d) Candidates with a pass class degree from the University of Nairobi (or any other institution recognised by the Senate of the University of Nairobi) in Humanities and Social Sciences; provided they have acquired relevant work experience of a minimum of 3 years in government, non-governmental organisations or the private sector.
e) Candidates with a minimum of a diploma in clinical psychiatry or psychiatric nursing from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC0 or any other institution recognised by the Senate of the University of Nairobi, provided they have acquired relevant post diploma work experience of a minimum of 10 years in government, non-governmental organisations or the private sector.
f) All candidates shall fulfill the Department of Psychiatry processing for suitability as a trainee in Clinical Psychology. This will include personality profiling, written and oral pre-entry examinations.
