Put copper turning in a combustion tube and heat them strongly.pass oxygen over the heated copper turning .The copper reacts with oxygen to form black copper (ii) oxide. After allowing the copper (ii)oxide to cool,Add it to suphuric acidin a beaker.Stir, filter and obtain the filtrate in an evaporating dish.Heat till it is saturated.test the solution by dipping a cleans glass rod and exposing it to the air.If crystals are formed, then poor the solution in a clean beaker and allow it to cool.Filter the crystals, wash them with distilled water and then place them between filter papers to dry
