Ball Peen Hammer: It has a flat striking face and ball shaped peen which is hardened and
polished. This hammer is chiefly used for chipping and riveting.

Cross - Peen Hammer: It has wedged shape peen across the eye. It is used for bending,
stretching, hammering into shoulders.

Straight Peen Hammer: This is similar to cross peen hammer except that the peen in this case
is parallel to eye. It is used for stretching and peening the metal.

Soft Hammer or Mallet: These are soft hammers used give light blows where the work surface
must not be damaged. They are made of either rubber, plastic or wood.
