At the beginning of the year 2015, there were 1010 boys and 1224 girls in a certain school.

At the beginning of the year 2015, there were 1010 boys and 1224 girls in a certain school. At the end of the year, 125 boys and l4l girls left the school. In the year 2016, 115 boys and 84 girls were transferred from the school. What was the population of the school by the end of year 2016?

The correct answer is [B]

- The year 2015 Population = 1010+1224
= 2234
- Pupils who left the school at the end of the year
= 125 +141 = 266
- New population at the beginning of 2016
= 2234 -266 = 1968
- Number of pupils who transferred from the school in 2016
= 115+ 84 = 199
- New population at the end of the year 2016
1968-199 = 1769
