Kenyaplex Institute of Technology is seeking to recruit Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy tutor

Job Title: Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Tutor
Reporting to: College Administrator
Job Location: Mwala, Machakos County

Job Description

- Prepare appropriate training materials for efficient and effective delivery of the skills.
- Carry out training sessions as per the curriculum.
- Develop Course outlines, schemes of Work, lesson plans and records of work for training.
- Ensure training materials, tools and equipment are safely stored after use by students.
- Ensure proper utilization of all project training materials and resources.
- Take part in recruitment process and career guidance of the new students.
- Prepare the learners to face life positively and with self-confidence.
- Ensure proper management of training materials and resources.
- Prepare the students for their final examinations and facilitate internal examinations.
- Keep accurate up to date registers of classes taught of learner attendances and marks.
- Help to ensure that institution's regulations and policies are upheld.
- Advise the management on the equipment and resources needed for training.
- Encourage and promote the process of student learning.
- Conduct continuous assessment of learners and periodically gauge their levels of understanding.
- Participate in developing curriculum that suits market needs.

Qualifications

- A diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy from a reputable training institution.
- A NITA Trade qualification shall be an added advantage
- ToT Certificate will be an added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills
- At least 1-2 years relevant experience in hands on training on Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy.
- Being computer literate will be an added advantage
- Be organized, diligent, mature and honest.
- Be willing to relocate to Machakos County.
