Climate change adaptation refer to the process of preparing for both negative effects and potential opportunities of changes in climate and adjusting proactively to variations in climate. Cities in the current time accommodate more than fifty percent of world’s population and about seventy percent will live in urban area by the year 2050.This is because urban areas have a lot of push factors such business opportunities, availability of jobs, entertainment, markets and improved infrastructures such as better transportation, educational facilities, health facilities and energy sources. Energy production and its utilization emit about eighty-seven percent of United States greenhouse gas(GHG) in which main use in urban area uses in electricity, heat, industrialization, transportation and waste production.
