About Kenya Medical Training College KMTC Murang'a Campus

Located next to Murang'a District Hospital and about 1 km from Murang'a town, the college began its operations as a training centre for enrolled midwives.
When the institute began,only training of dressers took place.
Training of nurses and midwives was later introduced.
In September 2004,the following courses were introduced:
(i)Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology
First class of Clinical Medicine was established in September 2005.
Currently the institution offers the following main courses:
(i)Diploma in Clinical Medicine
(ii)In-service Diploma in HRI
(iii)Certificate course in HRI
(iv)Diploma in Nursing – Distance Learning
(v)Diploma in Nursing
