Statistics refers to the activity of
collecting,analyzing and interpreting data
aimed at drawing a conclusion and making
a decision regarding the subject of study.
Those who pursue this program
are introduced to the meaning
and operations of statistics.
The program contains two important
elements namely:
(a)Statistical theory
(b)Statistical application
Course requirements
- Students applying for
this program are required
to have scored a C+ in KCSE with a C+ in
maths and C in other JAB clusters.
(a)English or kiswahili
(b)Maths
(c)Any group III
(d)Any group II, or 2nd group III, or any group IV, or any group V
Outstanding holders of diploma in applied statistics
Holders of relevant diploma from a recognized institution may
qualify for credit transfers up to thirty percent after approval
by the senate.Applicants holding KNEC diploma in related fields
may be admissible on credit transfers.
Program duration
- The program takes four years
Graduation requirements
-To graduate a student shall be required to take and pass all scheduled courses within the stipulated period.
