i) A holder of KCSE certificate or equivalent with a minimum of C+ and lacking clusters subjects, Mathematics and English languages as in 2.7.1.1 (i) above. The Candidate must score at least a C- (minus) in the subject he/she is bridging in as in 2.7.1.1 (i) above;
ii) A holder of KACE certificate or equivalent with minimum of two principles and lacking O level clusters subject grades as in 2.7.1.1(ii) above. The candidate must score in the subject in which he/she is bridging in as 2.7.1.1 (ii)
Entry via Pre-university Programme
i) A holder of KCSE certificate or equivalent with a mean aggregate of C (plain) with C- (minus) in Mathematics and English
Entry Requirements:-

1.A holder of at least Upper Second Class honours Bachelor’s degree in economics or related fields of University of Embu or an equivalent qualification from institutions recognized by University of Embu Senate.
2.A holder of Lower Second Class honours degree of University of Embu or an equivalent qualification from institutions recognized by University of Embu Senate with at least two years of post-qualification work experience.
3.In exceptional cases, the Senate may also admit to the Master’s programme, non-holders of a first degree provided such candidates can, on the basis of the research and academic work they have done, show that they are well qualified to undertake postgraduate work, by passing qualifying examinations

University entry requirements of overall C+ in KCSE or equivalent, candidates for admission to the Bachelor of Economics and Finance must have obtained a minimum of C+ in Mathematics.
ALTERNATIVE A: KCE Candidates: KCE Division II with a credit pass in Mathematics or equivalent.
ALTERNATIVE B: A – Level Candidates: KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes (one of which should be in Mathematics or Economics), OR two principal passes in any subjects with a minimum of credit pass Mathematics at KCE or equivalent.
