The basic admissions requirement shall be the minimum entry requirements set for entry into the Public Universities, which is at least an average grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). In addition candidates are expected to have performed well in the following alternative cluster of subjects in KCSE Examinations, but at any rate shall have obtained at least a grade of C+ in each of the cluster subjects.

Chemistry or any Group IV subject
Mathematics


Alternative B:

Physical Sciences Geography or any
Biological Sciences IV subject

b) A-level Candidates
Candidates with a minimum entry requirements of 2 principal passes in Mathematics and Physics and a subsidiary level pass in Chemistry with a credit pass in English at
B.SC. ELECTRICAL AND INFORMATION ENGINEERING

-Candidates shall be eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Science Degree in the School of Engineering in the following categories

a) KCSE Candidates

-Applicants must have scored
a minimum of C+ in KCSE.In addition,
they must have scored C+ in each of the
cluster subjects in any one of the alternatives
below:
(a)Alternative one
(i)Chemistry
(ii)Physics
(iii)Maths
(iv)Geography or biology
(v)Any group IV subject.

(b)Alternative two
(i)Biological sciences
(ii)Physical sciences
(iii)Maths
(iv)Geography or group IV
subject

- A-level applicants are required
to have at least two principal passes
in maths and physics and a subsidiary pass
in chemistry with a credit pass in English
at KCE level

(i) KCSE Mean Grade C+
(Plus) with a minimum of
B+(Plus) or equivalent in
Mathematics and Physics and
B(Plain) in Chemistry and
English

(ii) OR Mean Grade of C
(Plain) at KCSE or equivalent
with a Diploma of Credit pass
in relevant field of study from
a recognized institution
Admission requirements
(i) KCSE C+ and above or

(ii) A two-year certificate from a reputable institution or

(iii) Division II and above or

(iv) A pre-university college certificate or

(v) A diploma in a related field or its equivalent.
