The world of business has been spinning at a high rate in recent
past,with many businesses and companies employing IT skills like
office automation and computerized accounting in their daily operations.
Thus students learn on how to develop such business approaches.

Course requirements
- Students must have scored a B in KCSE with a B in both
maths and English or be in possession of a KACE certificate
with a minimum of two principal passes,and a credit pass in
maths at KACE.

Intake takes place in march,July and November.
Students seeking to pursue this program must sit for
General Entrance Examination which consists of maths,English and oral interview.

On the day of interview, students must report at 8.00 a.m in possession of
the following belongings:
(i)Copy of the National ID/ Birth Certificate/ Passport
(ii)Two (2) passport-size photographs
(iii)Entrance Examination fee of Kshs. 1,500.
(iv)Original and photocopies of all relevant academic and professional certificates

Interviews are held on every Tuesday and Thursday

Meet the minimum University admission criteria as set by the commission for Higher Education.

Have passed the K.S.C.E with a minimum average grade of B- in the following Cluster of subjects:

Cluster A
Biology
Physics
Geograpy
Mathematics and one other from group III

Cluster B
Biological sciences
Physical sciences
Mathematics
Geagraphy

Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant diploma course recognized by the University

A minimum mean grade of C+ at K.C.S.E. and grade C+ (Plus) in both Mathematics and English/Kiswahili, OR
KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and a minimum of a Credit Pass in Mathematics at KACE, OR
Diploma in relevant disciplines in the field of Information Technology or Informatics from an institution recognized by the UoE Senate.
Bsc. informatics is a course that introduces the practice of information processing, and the engineering of information systems.This programme is designed to produce competent informatics professionals to work in modern organisations and also can be self-employed by combining theoratical and practical classes as well as attachment programmes.
Admission requirements
A mean grade of C+ at KCSE or a Diploma in relevant discipline.
Those with Credit may be admitted to 1st year.
