- To go on your first solo flight you must be at least 17 years old.
- Please note that despite the legal age requirement on holding a P.P.L, there is no age limit as to how early you can start covering the ground school.

Minimum entry requirements:
-The minimum age for one to be issued with a Private Pilot License is 17.
-One must demonstrate the ability to read, speak, write and understand the English language.
-Be in possession of a valid Class 2 Medical certificate
-Be in possession of a valid Student Pilot’s License
-Achieve minimum flight time as stipulated in the Civil aviation regulations.
-Pass all stipulated theory examinations

- KCSE certificate with minimum of C+ or equivalent in relevant field.

Universities Offering Private Pilot Licence(PPL)

This course is offered under Moi University School of Aerospace Sciences.
Minimum Admission Requirements:
- Be at least Seventeen years old of Age.
- Proficiency in English.
- One should be a a holder of KCAA class two medical Certificate and have student Pilot Licence.
- A minimum mean grade of C at KCSE or its equivalent recognized by Moi University Senate & have a C(Plain) in English.
