According to him the individual's personality is as a result of modeling behaviors of significant people in the society. Modeling is done through observation, meaning the child must have significant individuals that look at them as role models

Self efficacy
Refers to one's belief about his or her ability to perform behaviors that will lead to expected outcomes. When self efficacy is high the individual feels confident and is worried about the responses. We can judge our self efficacy by combining four forces of information by;
1)use of previous experiences of so less or failure to estimate how we can perform a new task
2)we compare our capabilities with those of others
3)we listen to what others say about us and our capabilities
4)we can utilize feedback from our bodies about our strength, our vulnerability and capabilities.
