Rooney Mara
Mara is a movie star famously known for her role in the movie 'Girl with a Dragon Tattoo'. Mara founded the charity 'Faces of Kibera' which is aimed at providing housing, food, and medical care to orphans in Kibera. The charity's goal is to build an orphanage in the region.In January of last year, Faces of Kibera merged with Uweza Foundation which runs community-based empowerment programs in Kibera area.The foundation recently purchased a 6 acre land to build an orphanage for the children in the area.

Natalie Portman
Natalie is a hollywood actress famously known for her role in the movie 'Black swan' and she's also the ambassador for Free the Children Foundation.Free the children supports education for children around the world and it recently enabled the creation of the Kisaruni All-Girls Secondary Boarding School in the Maasai Mara. Natalie teamed up with Free The Children in 2011, to support the Power of a Girl project which enabled the creation of the secondary school.

Usher is a hiphop star and also the head of the New Look Foundation. New look Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by his father, Usher Raymond IV.In June 19-22,2012, the New look Foundation will be hosting the third annual World Leadership Conference in Atlanta. The Conference is aimed at impacting youth from around the world with skills needed to become agents of change in their community.It will bring together celebrities and other accomplished youth from around the world including the U.K., Hong Kong, Kenya and South Africa to come educate and empower the young people.

Alicia Keys is a RnB superstar with one of the most charitable hearts.She is the ambassador for Keep A Child Alive and as the ambassador, She has travelled to many african countries, for example, Uganda, South Africa and Kenya

just to name a few.While she was here in kenya she interacted with teens and young adults who have lost their parents to AIDS and are now struggling to make it through life.Alicia keys supports Live Earth, Stand Up for Cancer, UNICEF, Youth AIDs and Oxfam foundations among others.

Johannsson is a famous hollywood actress who is liked and adored by many. She recently starred in a popular movie 'The Avengers' in the role 'Black widow'.Inspite of her fame and glamour, Johannson is down to earth and has a soul of an angel.She recently created a video journal of her visit to Kenya with the Oxfam organization which she has been a member of since 2004.In 2007 she had skipped the Oscar award ceremonies in order to tour India and Sri Lanka as part of her Oxfam projects. During Hurricane Katrina she spent most of her time helping victims by dishing out food from USA Harvest to the homeless. On top of all this,she is an avid supporter of Soles4Souls, and has donated over 2,000 pairs of new shoes in the past.Other charities she supports include: Cancer research UK, Keep a Child Alive, Make Poverty History, Oxfam, soles4souls among others.
