The course is available ins faculty of veterinary
medicine surgery.In this faculty,students learn
about environment and its relationship with
the livestock.They learn about animal breeding
and diseases thus providing required treatment.

Course requirements
- To qualify for this program, one must have
scored a C in KCSE or division II in KCE/EACE.
They must have scored a C in KCSE or a credit
in each of the following:
(i)physical science or chemistry
(ii) English/kiswahili
(iii)Physics
(iv)maths
(v)Biology or biological sciences or
Hold a certificate in animal health with a credit pass from a reputable institution

Course requirements
- The program takes a minimum of
three years.

Graduation requirements
-Students are required to have done and passed all exams offered by
the senate within the given period.
The program is designed to enable graduates
get a better understanding of common diseases
affecting farm animals thus providing prevention
and curative measures.

Entry requirements
- A minimum of a C in KCSE
or division II in KCE/EACE
In addition,applicants must
have scored C or credit in each
of the following subjects:
(i)English or kiswahili
(ii)Chemistry or physical sciences
(iii)Physics
(iv)Biology or biological sciences
(v)Maths
Students with a credit pass in animal health
certificate will be considered for admission.

A mean grade of C and above at KCSE

(i) Public health and epidemiology
(ii) Zoonoses and one health concept
(iii) Farm structures
(iv) Viral, Rickettsial and parasitic
Diseases
(v) Animal nutrition and feeding
(vi) Animal physiology
(vii) Parasitology

C in KCSE or division II in EACE/KCE.

Holders of a certificate in Animal Health from a recognized institution
may be admitted provided they have passed with credit.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

i. KCSE mean grade C plain with C- in Mathematics or Physics; C- in any 2 of the other science
subjects and C plain in English or Kiswahili OR

ii. KCE Division III with a pass in Mathematics or Physics, a pass in any 2 of the other science
subjects and a pass in English or Kiswahili OR

iii. Certificate in Agriculture/Community Development or related field.
