Soil and Land Use Management refers to all measures taken to ensure that the soil is conserved and free from abuse.The following are the areas of interest for anyone interested in gaining more knowledge about soil.(i)Type of soil(ii)Soil moisture content (iii)Soil fertility The above discipline is not only concerned with the soil,but also with other factors that directly relate to soil like vegetation,pollution,microbes and other human activities on earth.Applicants holding any one of the qualifications below shall be eligible for admission:(a)A minimum of C+ in KCSE.In addition,they must have passed in the subjects below,with the grades indicated:(i)C+ in maths or geography or physics(ii)C+ in biology (iii)C+ in either agriculture,English or Kiswahili(iv)C+ in chemistry(b)A diploma in agriculture or any related discipline from a reputable college with at least a credit.The knowledge gained in the above discipline enables the graduates to venture into the fields below:(a)Agriculture (b)Environmental conservation(c)Geology,among others.
