ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: A degree in communication, media studies, Human Resource Development/any social science, language, linguistics, literature, public relation and public administration, Diplomacy/international affairs, Law, Education particularly with a bias in Social sciences, Public Relations or other related studies with at least an upper second-class honors from Moi University or a university recognized by the Moi University Senate.
Applicants with a Lower Second class honours and relevant field experience may also be considered.

Universities Offering Master of Arts in Communication Studies(Communication Studies)

Duration : 2 years

Admission requirements:

The following shall be eligible for admission:

Holders of a Bachelors degree of the University of Nairobi with at least an upper Second Class Honors, or candidates with equivalent qualifications from other institutions recognized by Senate.

Holders of a Lower Second Class Honors degree or its equivalent with at least one year of post-graduation work experience in journal-ism, communication, and related fields such as public relations, advocacy and advertising.

Holders of pass degree and a post-graduate diploma in mass communication

Applicants may transfer credits for similar courses taken at the Masters level in other institutions recognized by the Senate.

Applicants seeking transfer of credits shall apply in writing through the Director of the School to the Director of the Board of Postgraduate Studies justifying his/her request and attaching evidence of the credential(s) that would support such a request.

Applicants shall have their applications considered only after paying the prescribed application fee.

Applicants shall be allowed a maximum of one-third of the courses.
Requirements
i) B.A. / BSc. in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Film Studies, Public Relations, Literature or any relevant social science field with at least second class honours (upper division) from an accredited University.
ii) A bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least second class (lower division) from a recognized University, with two years working experience.
iii) Applicants who have undertaken their undergraduate work in another language, other than English, will be required to produce proof of English Language proficiency
Master of Arts in Communication and Media

Entry Requirements:-

Bachelor Degree, Second Class Honours (Upper Division) and above OR Bachelor Degree Second Class Honours (Lower Division) with at least two (2) years’ relevant work experience.
