Where to Go For Shopping in Kakamega Town: Supermarkets Available in Kakamega Town.

Kakamega town is found in western part of Kenya. It is the headquarter of Kakamega county which is the second populated county in Kenya. Due to its large population, the people who live within Kakamega County converge to Kakamega town for shopping. This town is also enriched with various branches of universities such as Mount Kenya University, Masinde Muliro University of science and technology, Kenyatta University and University of Nairobi.

There are various supermarkets in Kakamega town which ensures that people are satisfied with requirement for home use. These supermarkets contain every thing ranging from furniture to food stuffs. These supermarkets include Turkeys’, Mama Watoto, Yako and Nakumatt supermarket.
Nakumatt Kakamega supermarket branch is located in Holden Mall along Kakamega – Webuye road. This place is open and has enough packing space for vehicles. It is opened through the week, from Monday to Sunday. It operates from 9 am to 8.30 pm.

The branch of Tuskey’s supermarket in Kakamega town is located in Mega Mall along the Kakamega – Kisumu road, opposite Masinde Muliro gardens. It has enough parking space for its esteemed customers. It is opened from Monday to Sunday.

Mama Watoto supermarket in Kakamega town has two branches within the town. The old one is located along Cannon Awori Street, opposite Kholera House and it does not have parking space for customers with vehicles. The new branch is located along Kakamega – Webuye road opposite Kakamega Guest house. It has limited space for parking.

The branch of Yako supermarket in Kakamega town is located in Kenyatta Avenue opposite Kenya commercial bank (Kakamega branch). It has limited parking space and can only allow a maximum of five vehicles. It operates from Monday to Sunday from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm. It

has all the types of materials except building materials such as cements and iron sheets.
