From my observation,in like twenty years from now ,Kiswahili language will be no more in Kenya.Take a walk in the streets of our beloved capital city and tell me if what you hear is what our sweet Kiswahili used to be.Go to different schools and you will be surprised by what our learners,our future leaders speak and call Kiswahili. Kiswahili is getting a stiff competition from this language they call "sheng" to the extend that some have started complaining that Kiswahili be eliminated from our education system. But I ask, why?why do you want to eliminate this sweet language? I suggest that the authorities must do,not try,they must do anything possible within their power to eradicate this so called "sheng". Let Kiswahili writers come back to their desks,let Kiswahili teachers take their chalk,let our Kiswahili radio and televisions presenters speak their language and let Kiswahili be given the right it deserves just like English.It will not be a good thing for our grandchildren to miss this language.
