Motor cycles have created employment for majority of Kenyans especially in the rural areas where means of transport a scarce. The Kenyan government reduced due tax for importing these bikes so as to curb the economic problem of unemployment by enabling ordinary Kenyans to earn a living using these bikes.

Unfortunately the cyclists are in the danger zone of contacting dreadful airborne diseases like tuberculosis, asthma and so on. Some of the cyclists are extremely careless and they don't care to put on protective gear like helmet, leather jackets and gloves. To them, acquiring these safety equipment is much expensive and they have no any other option of protecting their health.

Although the bikes have eased transport in both rural and urban centers, they are now bringing another problem into the country apart from road accidents. Some cyclists ferry their passengers over vast distances while exposing their breathing systems to massive winds carrying harmful germs. The ministry of health is supposed to establish a campaign for educating these young cyclists because research has shown that most of them will be past tense in the coming ten years due to airborne ailments.
