3. What are the cultural factors influencing provision of palliative care services?
4. What is the nurses’ perception towards provision of palliative care services?

1.4 Justification

The study will provide information on the factors that influence the provision palliative care services among nurses. This will help to understand the current impact of palliative care services by elucidating the various factors influencing the provision of palliative care services among nurses by providing the baseline information on knowledge and perception regarding their interaction with patients.
It’s considered that the results of the study will improve nurses understanding, level of knowledge and perception towards palliative care services.


1.5 Significance of the study
The findings will act as a basis of reference in further research in the same and other related fields.
It enables the Hospice and Palliative Care Associations develop a national program designed to prioritize the provision of palliative care services within national healthcare framework through government investment, improved access to palliative care services.
The study will also help in acquisition of knowledge, attitude and skills for the partial fulfillment for the award of diploma in health records and information technology.
