Universities Offering Master of Arts in Missiology(Islamic Studies)

On enrollment, students will be introduced to the following disciplines:
(i) Leadership.

(ii) Women in Islam.

(iii) Islam in Africa and Current Trends.

(iv) Folk Religious Phenomenon in Islam, among others.

Applicants with any of the following qualifications shall be eligible for admission:

(i) Holders of a Bachelor’s degree (Second Class Honours [Upper Division] or higher) from Africa International University or other universities recognized by the Africa International University Senate.

(ii) Holders of a Bachelor’s degree (Second Class Honours [Lower Division]) from Africa International University who have at least two years of relevant experience.

(iii)Holders of a postgraduate diploma (credit level or higher) from Africa International University or other institutions recognized by the Africa International University Senate.

(iv) In exceptional cases, Senate, on the recommendation of any of the schools, may admit to the Masters program, applicants who do not hold a first degree, provided that such candidates, based on the research and academic work they have done, can demonstrate that they are well qualified to undertake postgraduate work.

Course duration.
Two years.
Academic requirements

One must hold a degree in Islamic theology.Those without theology degree must
have at least fifteen semester credit of religion.Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of three on
a four point scale. Applicants with two point five grade point average may be considered too as long as
they have four years,however,they are required to have a grade point average of three beginning with their first session of classwork.
Applicants must request their former universities and employers to recommend them.Recommendations must be send to the Adventist University of Africa's admission office.
