• H/Science/Agriculture OR KACE with a principle pass OR Diploma in Hospitality Management OR Diploma in relevant field
Course Study Duration: 8 Semesters.

Universities Offering Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (Management)

Entry Requirements:-

KCSE or equivalent certificate with a minimum of C+ and grade C (plain) in at least 3 of the the following subjects; Biology/Chemistry, English/Kiswahili, Home Science and Humanities or similar grades in an equivalent examination approved by the University Senate in liaison with CHE. Or.
KACE or equivalent Certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and O level Credit in Geography/ History / Biology. Or
Diploma in relevant disciplines in the field of hospitality from an institution recognized by the University Senate in liaison with CHE and which may be eligible for credit transfers on application as spelt out by the University’s credit transfer policy.
Entry via University Bridging:-
A holder of KCSE certificate or equivalent with a minimum of C+ and lacking clusters subjects, Geography / History / Biology as in (i) above. The Candidate must score at least a C plain in the subject he/she is bridging in .

A holder of KACE certificate or equivalent with minimum of two principles and lacking O level clusters subject grades as in (ii) above. The candidate must score in the subject in which he/she is bridging in.

Entry via Pre-university Programme
A holder of KCSE certificate or equivalent with a mean aggregate of C (plain) with C (plain) in Geography / History / Biology

Exemptions and credit transfers:-
A maximum of 15 units can be transferred for relevant units covered at degree or diploma level whose attainment is grade B and above.
Evidence supporting the application should include certified academic transcripts, certificates and a letter from the relevant registrar or authority
Application for credit transfer will not be allowed three (3) weeks after the start of the semester / trimester unless granted permission by the University Senate .
The University reserves the right to administer an appropriate test, through the relevant Department in order to determine whether exemption should be granted.

Exemption:-
The following conditions should be met in seeking an exemption for a particular subject:

The applicant shall pay a non-refundable credit transfer/exemption fee as determined by the School Board and approved by the Senate.
A formal application on a prescribed form should be lodged with the Dean of School.
The application should include justification and documentary support for the exemption to be considered.
The applicant must have passed the final examinations for the year in which the subject to be exempted was examined.
The School Board may require the applicant to sit an exemption examination.

Fees payable per trimester: Ksh. 55,000.
Course duration: 8 trimesters or 3 academic years.
Course Admission Requirements:
- KCSE mean grade of C+ (Plus) Or a Diploma In culinary arts, Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Production and Service, Catering, House Keeping Management & Institutional Management.
Course Study Duration: 4 years.
Mode of Study: Full Time, Part Time & ODLM.
