  Academic requirements
  - In addition to minimum qualifications,applicants are required to have attained a C+ in chemistry,biology or biological sciences plus a C in maths or physical/physical science or
  - Hold a KACE certificate with two principal passes in science subjects or
  - Hold a diploma in any science subject with at least a credit pass from a reputable institution or
  - Be in possession of a diploma in applied sciences with at least a credit pass in science subjects or
  - Any other qualifications recognized by the university senate
  Period of study
  - 4 years
•  University of Kabianga, Kericho  
  Admission shall be granted to holders of any of the qualifications below:
  (i) A minimum of C+ in KCSE with B- in Chemistry, C+ in Biology, Mathematics and C in Physics or Geography OR
  
  (ii) A level with two principal passes in Chemistry and Biology, subsidiary in Mathematics with C in physics at “O” level, OR
  
  (iii) KNEC Diploma in Science/Applies Science or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
  
  Those with Credit/Distinction will be admitted to second year.
  
  Course duration
  Four years.
•  Technical University of Kenya , Nairobi  
  Admission shall be granted to holders of any of the qualifications below:
  (a) A mean grade of C+ at KCSE with C+ in Biology and Chemistry.OR
  
  (b) Diploma in any of the areas below:
  (i) Food Science and Technology.
  
  (ii) Biotechnology.
  
  (iii) Applied Biology
  
  Course duration.
  Four years.
•  Chuka University, Chuka  
  For a student to pursue a bachelor of science in biochemistry he/she should have the following minimum
  Requirement.
  1.1 c+ as the minimum grade ,c+ and above in biology or biological sciences and chemistry, must have passed in either mathematics or physics.
  
•  Rongo University, Rongo  
  Course requirements
  KCSE mean C+ with C+ in Chemistry and
  Biology Subjects or Relevant Diploma with
  Credit.
