The minimum requirement for admission for Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics is a C-(MINUS) in Kenya Certificate in Secondary Education or its equivalent as ascertained with the ministry of Education and any other requirements as ascertained by KNDI.The minimum grade for mandatory subjects i.e Chemistry,Biology, English/Kiswahili C-(MINUS) and a D+ (PLUS) in other subjects.

The diploma in nutrition and dietetics is offered over a minimum period of nine(9) trimesters or three academic years. Each academic year consists of three trimesters.

Minimum Entry requirement:
- KCSE aggregate Grade C- or its equivalent as ascertained by ministry of Education and KNDI. Mandatory subjects shall be D+ in English, Biology/Biological Sciences and Chemistry/Physical sciences. Additional subjects shall be D in any of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Home science, Agriculture, General science.
OR
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by (KNEC) Kenya National Examinations Council.

NB: Candidates holding certificate in relevant courses will be exempted Module 1 and be admitted to module 2.

Course Entry Requirements: C-(minus) with C - in Biology/Chemistry, English/Kiswahili D+ in Mathematics.

Course Duration: 3 years(Modular) and Hospital Internship.

Universities Offering Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics(Nutrition and Dietetics)

The minimum requirement for admission for Diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics shall be a C plain in KCSE or its equivalent with a minimum pass of C plain in English or Kiswahili and minimum passes C in any two of the following subjects: Biology/Biological sciences, Chemistry/Physical sciences, Physics, Mathematics, Home science or Agriculture.


A candidate with a Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution shall also be eligible for admission and may be considered for credit transfers

The diploma in nutrition and dietetics shall be offered over a minimum period of two academic years.

Each academic year at ANU shall consist of three trimesters.

The programme shall be offered in the full time and with prospects of part-time study in the future.
Entry requirements
(i) KCSE C and above or

(ii) Division III at o levels or

(iii) A pre-university college certificate or

(iv) A 6 months and above certificate from a reputable institution.
