“Bad company” is a word always used to refer to a group of individuals who normally don’t follow the rules and normally break the existing laws. A bad company in campus can be defined as one which is involved less in curricular activities and more in other unlawful activities as per the university’s rule and regulations/constitution.

In campus, everybody arrives as an individual in his/her first year. By the end of the first semester, people have already formed social groups. Whereas these groups can be of beneficial purposes fir survival throughout campus life, some of them only exist on grounds that are not favorable for a student to live a normal life.

Many social groups in campus exist on the basis of financial capabilities of an individual. An individual finds himself socializing with individuals of the same financial capabilities. However, it is the choice of an individual to identify the social group that he/she will try and relate with.

There are four tips that can be considered when choosing the right group for you i.e.

1. You should have in common some hobbies that you share with most individuals in the group.

2. The members must be God fearing.

3. The members of your group should be understanding and supportive at all times.

4. Avoid a group where most members repeatedly procrastinate their duties or fail to attend lectures.
