The government is aspiring to go digital in various sectors towards the realization of the vision 2030 with the education sector being one of them. Digitizing is the utilization of computers in order to improve the efficiency of various resources. E-learning is the use of computers in passing information to students in a formal education system and it is one of the methods being utilized by many countries in order to digitize their education systems. The E system comes in hand with many benefits one of them being sharing of resources like books over the internet. The students are also able to do distance learning while sitting at the comforts of their classes.

This system has already been embraced by some few local private institutions but it is yet to be embraced by public institutions for the following reasons.

Poor infrastructure.

Most public learning institutions from primary schools to varsities have very poor learning infrastructures some of which are basic, example classrooms. In the rural areas this is the situation and electricity is still a myth leave alone a computer lab. For this reason it is quite impossible to have an E-learning system.

The current system is yet to be fully implemented.

The current formal system has not yet been fully embraced in all parts of the country as some schools have not obtained classrooms and teachers are a scarce in these areas. The ministry of education is still struggling with the current system which is about to be faced out and it is yet to be fully embraced.

Corruption.

Greedy hairy monsters who are just prominent people in the government feed their pockets with funds donated by the international community and the whereabouts of the funds become a mystery after a certain period of time. These funds are meant to improve the current system and

pave way for the incoming technological systems.

We are a third world country.

Most third world countries are far away to reach the current global trends in technology due to high poverty levels.
