Every semester, various crimes are reported to the university security department while others are unnoticed .they often range from petty crimes such as trespassing to graver crimes such as physical and sexual assault. The crimes are committed by both the teaching, non-teaching staffs and students. The staff engage in cries such as corruption among others, this has brought a great concern that needs to be addressed through a crime prevention model.
