Minimum Admission Requirements


Those willing to apply for courses at Daystar University should meet the following minimum admission requirements.
1. Pre University
KCSE mean grade of C plain.
2. Diploma course admissions.
KCSE minimum grade of C plain or Principal Pass in A levels or 4 credits in GCE.
3. Undergraduate degrees.
- At least a mean grade of C+ at KCSE or 5 credits in IGCSE or 2 principal passes in A level or Division 2 in GCE.
4. Postgraduate programmes.
- A Bachelors degree course from a recognized university of second class upper division or first class honors or equivalent.
The institution offers courses on regular, day, evening, weekend and online learning modes.

Daystar University Application Procedure


- Application forms can be obtained from Nairobi, Athi River and Mombasa campuses.
- One should meet all admission requirements for the course he/she is applying for.
- Once the application form has been completed, it should be submitted together with Ksh. 2,000 non-refundable application fee.

Application Deadlines


- Students should apply by 30th November for January intake, 30th April for May intake and 31st July for August intake.

    Master of Christian ministries is
    offered in school of arts and humanities.
    It teaches students about bible and Christianity thus
    providing an in-depth knowledge about God.

    Program requirements
    - A bachelors degree in any religious discipline from accredited
    institution with a minimum cumulative grade point of 2.75 on a 4.00, or
    a degree with first class or upper second class honours. Those with a
    grade point average of 2.5 or a lower second class honours and a higher diploma
    plus relevant work experience may be considered if the degree or diploma is
    equivalent to the area of study

  • Master of Communications(Communications)  
    The course is offered in school of communications, language and performing arts.

    through the interpersonal skills earned.

    Course requirements
    - A degree in communications,acquired from a reputable institution with a
    grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.00, or a degree with first class or upper
    second class honours. Applicants with a grade point average of 2.5 or lower second
    class honours and higher diploma may be considered if the degree or diploma is relevant
    to area of study and have relevant work experience.

  • Master in Counselling Psychology(Counselling Psychology)  
    The course mentioned above is offered in
    school of human and social sciences.It is
