Question 1.

“Change in organizations cannot be prevented but instead it can be implemented”.
a) Explain how conflict, profitability, politics and the need for reorganization can
be the forces for change.
b) Give examples for each of the above.

Question 2.
(20 marks)
Compare and contrast 5 (five) features of organizations that are designed for efficient
performance (mechanical system design) and those of the learning organizations (natural
system design).

Question 3 .
(30 marks)
Using knowledge in Organizational Theory, discuss the issues which must be considered
when designing organizations. Present your answer in a systematic way by showing
where the design begins and ends.
