Entry requirements

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) with a minimum aggregate of B- (minus) and C+ (plus) as the minimum grade in cluster Groups of 4 subjects which include: Mathematics, Physics, any subject from Group III (History and Government OR Geography OR Christian Religious Education OR Islamic Religious Education OR Hindu Religious Education); or 2nd Group II (Biology or Chemistry); OR 2nd Group III OR Group IV (HomeScience, or Art and Design or Agriculture or Aviation Technology or Computer Studies); OR Group V (French, German, Arabic, Music, Business Studies). OR JKUAT Arch. Diploma – Credit and above and 12 months refereed industry or travel portfolio (entry into 3rd year of study) OR JKUAT Arch. Diploma – PASS and 24 months refereed industry or travel portfolio (entry into 1st year of study) OR Any other relevant qualification recognized by the University Senate.

-(a)'A' level students must have scored at least two
principal passes in maths and any one of the subjects
below:
(i)Geography
(ii)Physics
(iii)Economics
(iv)Chemistry
(v)Art and Design
(vi)A credit pass in English language at KCE

(b)Holders of a KNEC diploma in Building Construction,Architecture or
any other relevant discipline may be admitted provided that they have passed
with credit.

(c)Applicants holding a degree from a reputable university
shall be admitted as long as their degrees belong to any one
of the disciplines below:
(i)Civil Engineering
(ii)Urban and Regional Planning
(iii)Surveying
(iv)Design
(v)Building Economics
(vi)Land Economics

- A minimum of a C+ in KCSE with a C in kiswahili or English or
- Two principal passes at KACE level or
- Hold a KCE certificate with a credit pass or
- Hold a diploma with at least a credit pass or
- Be in possession of a professional certificate plus a relevant diploma from a recognized institution
